How we handle personal information collected through this website, including the Book a demo form.
Who we are
This website is run by Advanced Psychology Training Pty Ltd (ABN 39 695 203 528), trading as ELARA ("ELARA", "we", "us"). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
You can contact us about privacy at catriona@advancedpsychologytraining.com.au, or write to us at PO Box 39, Fremantle WA 6959.
What we collect
When you use the Book a demo form
We collect what you enter: your name, email address, organisation, role, phone number (if you give it), what you're interested in, and your message. You don't have to give us your details, but we can't reply without a way to contact you.
When you visit the website
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider receives technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Visitor statistics. We use a privacy-friendly analytics service that counts visits without cookies and without building a profile of you.
- Settings on your device. If you press "Pause animations", that choice is saved in your own browser so you aren't shown motion again. It never leaves your device.
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we collect it
We use your enquiry details to reply to you, to arrange and run a demo, and to keep a record of our conversation. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to, and we don't sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run this website, and only for that purpose:
- our hosting and security provider, which delivers and protects the website, provides visitor statistics, and runs the form's spam check;
- our email service, which delivers your enquiry to our team and sends you a confirmation email.
We may also disclose information where the law requires or allows it.
Information sent overseas
Our service providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it in a way that's consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and for our business records, then delete them, 2 years after our last contact.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, by contacting us. We'll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first, and we'll look into it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
The ELARA platform
This policy covers the website. The ELARA training platform is provided to universities, services and other organisations under agreement, and how it handles learners' information is described on Trust & Privacy and in the agreement with each organisation.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
